Grave site for Dave and Lucile Packard
and also for Fred Terman

Dave and Lucile Packard are buried in Alta Mesa Memorial Park which is located off of Arastradero Road next to Foothill Expressway next to the city of Los Altos on the southeastern side of Palo Alto about two miles (as the proverbial crow flies) from the Hewlett-Packard headquarters on Page Mill Road.  Locating the graves is very simple:

1. Enter the park and drive about 300 feet to the angled parking on the right -- you are very close to the graves.

2. Park there and you will see two large trees with a marker in-between as shown in the picture below taken from the parking lot.



3. Dave and Lucile's graves are about 30 feet to the left and back of the tree on the left (in the above picture) as shown in the picture below.

The grave (I think it is a vault) of Frederick Emmons Terman who taught electrical engineering at Stanford University and who had both Bill and Dave as students and convinced them to start a company together and is known as the father of Silicon Valley is in the building at Alta Mesa Memorial Park only about one hundred feet or so from the grave of Dave.  I will take pictures of that on my next trip.  See http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=8834004
